The primary output source of any mobile device is the screen. They come in many sizes, configurations, and resolutions, and many are made to withstand movement and vibration while others sense your touch. Many laptop screens nowadays also embed microphones and cameras into the monitor.

  • LCD
  • LED
  • OLED

There are several technical differences between OLED and LCD. The most obvious difference between the two is that OLED emits light and LCD does not. This allows OLED to display deep black levels and be thinner and lighter than LCD. OLED can also be made flexible and transparent, allowing the development of foldable smartphones.
