Windows Remote Assistance

A Windows 10 Pro feature that allows users to gain limited remote access to another system with the intent of helping them with technical issues.

Windows Remote Assistance requires specific permissions to be enabled on both the assistant and the target to allow a connection. Next, requests or invitations are sent between the two in order to initiate the connection.

The target user remains logged onto the system, at the cost of the assistant having limited access to the computer. In order to counter this, consider using Windows-Remote-Desktop.

Newer versions of Windows have launched an updated version of Remote Assistance called Quick Assist. Sessions are initiated by inputting a 6-digit code from the target into the assistant.
