Group Policy Management

A Windows 10 Pro feature that enables administrative management features for use in an enterprise setting.

In Windows, configuration settings are stored in the registry. On a Windows Domains network, each domain-joined computer will receive policy settings from one or more group policy objects. Even without an Internet connection, since a copy of the policy is stored locally on the machine, Group Policy is still in effect. Common policy objects include:

  • Password Policies
  • User Rights
  • Account Restrictions
  • Firewall Settings
  • System Update Settings
  • Software Installation Restrictions
