RJ11 Connector

A deprecated type of connector used to connect devices to twisted pair cables.

RJ11 Connectors:

• have 4-6 connectors
• conforms to the RJ11 wiring standard which supports up to two pairs of wires (one for phone, one for power)
• uses a locking tab to keep a connector secure in an outlet
• used primarily for telephone wiring
• the center two contacts are used to carry the dial tone and the voice circuit
