Windows Advanced Boot Options
An enumeration of the advanced boot options for Microsoft-Windows.
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Enable Debugging | Starts Windows in advanced troubleshooting mode. |
| Enable Boot Logging | Creates a file called ntbtlog.txt in C:\Windows during startup that logs every driver loaded during the boot process. |
| Enable Low-Resolution Video | Loads Windows with the current video driver, but is configured to use slower refresh-rates and lower resolution. |
| Safe Mode | Loads Windows with only the essential drivers and services. |
| Safe Mode w/ Networking | Safe Mode along with a network driver and basic communication protocol. |
| Safe Mode w/ CMD | Safe Mode, but only loads a CMD Terminal without a GUI. |
| Disable Driver Signature Enforcement | Allows drivers to be loaded without a digital signature or certificate. |
| Disable Early Launch Antimalware Protection | Prevents the early launch antimalware driver from loading on system boot. |
| Disable Automatic Restart on System Failure | Disables the automatic restarts after a Blue Screen of Death. |
| Launch Recovery Environment | A menu for advanced system recovery tools, including: - System Restore - System Image Recovery - Startup Repair - Command Prompt - Go Back to the Previous Build |
