Forgejo my goat. I can sync my Obsidian vault to a private repo. I can code projects and make them public. I could even link my selfhosted Forgejo account to my GitHub account. This is peak. 

Code Server

This is annoying to setup. This is annoying to configure. However, when you get it done, it is bliss. Remote coding as long as anything you're doing doesn't open a UI or window. Code Server is well worth the trouble.
