A passive reconnaissance tool.

theHarvester is used to gather information from a variety of public sources. The tool gathers emails, names, subdomains, IPs, and URLs using multiple public data sources. These sources include search engines, social media sites, and Shodan.Shodan. It also has the option to take screenshots and to bruteforce DNS, but those are technically active reconnaissance methods.
